Christmas 1997
The phrase "Time is Money" was drilled into me during classes in video production. It is ever so true.
This year was a good one. I am one of those "Internet People" you hear about, building web pages and learning the finer points of Internet marketing. One of my acquaintances responded to this by saying, "Oh so you do what those people in that
'Heaven's Gate' cult do." "Yes", I replied, "and I am probably going to kill myself at any moment so I can follow my leader into the tail of a passing comet." It just goes to show you how little the vast majority knows about the Internet.
Monika and the girls are busy with the Scouts. Anna is 10 (ohmygod), Eva is 8 and Maria is 6. Everyone goes to school full time, so Monika has started a very flexible part time job as an "Executive Assistant" to an author of the definitive guide to travel in China. He arranges trips for individuals, and Monika and another woman pick up the pieces. It is a great experience for her. Who knows? I may be married to the woman who will write the definitive guide book to Poland!
Speaking of Poland, we finally gathered up enough money and time to make a trip to Krakow this summer. We had a great time traveling to the sites around southern Poland. We spent most of the time with Monika's parents in the city, but we also traveled to the mountains on the border with the Czech and Slovak Republics.
We were lucky to have great weather every day, despite the floods in the Western part of the country the month before we arrived. We have albums of photos and would love to show them to you should you decide to visit.
Please give us a call any time. The girls love visitors (as long as you can read them a story or two) and Monika and I enjoy the company as well. We're right next to the malls in Paramus, so if you are coming to shop be sure to give us a call.
