Christmas 2007

An Anna Darron Sketch

Today I built a fire and was sitting on the couch with my lovely wife, when I felt that I really should share the view with all of you.

I usually do this letter a few days before Christmas (with exceptions) but this year I really was just sick to death of the computer. I truly am thankful for my wonderful job and the challenges that come with it, but sometimes I really just need to "unplug".

Our new address is: 0-106 Fair Lawn Parkway Fair Lawn, NJ 07410-3761

This year we didn't get to do our usual vacation. We made that big commitment of becoming home owners. We didn't move far. We're still in the town of Fair Lawn, NJ, just a mile or so from where we lived for the last 18 years. We closed in February and spent until the end of June painting, building, wiring and cleaning. With the help of an army of teenage boys, we were able to move over a weekend or two. Monika swears this will be the last move, ever. Please feel free to update your address book.

Maria (flush with the owner's cash) and Eva are working at a Subway up the street.

They seem to enjoy the extra money (not quite as much as pictured here). They both are doing great in school. Eva graduates this year (gulp) and is hoping to get into college in Boston. Both Eva and Maria are busy with the high school drama club. Eva does much of the design work for sets and promotional T-shirts and posters (and the design for the website.)

An Anna Darron Sketch

Anna spent the fall in England at the University College of London in lieu of a semester at American University in Washington, DC. She has decided to finish out the year in England and is returning to London after being home with us this Christmas.

Monika is as busy as always with her job as a Superior Court Polish Translator, and I am busy as always with all things computer related. My current job is with a medical marketing company.

This summer the girls did a few "road trips" to the shore.

Here's a shot of Eva, Maria and Anna (left to right) during one of their trips.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Monika was painting every surface…

…and I was, well, "screwing things up" as usual.

We hope you had a Merry Christmas and that all is well with your family. We're looking forward to another year of prosperity and adventure. We hope your family will enjoy the same.
